"We Say Let's Have Peace"

Written By: Max Bran

Lyrics for "We Say Let's Have Peace"
Sittin' here watchin' the news.
Man I wonder how we ever get by
some don't;
glad to see you.

In the life it's hard enough
to have a million feelings
going on inside;
deep inside.

We say let's have peace;
still we go to war.
We do stand in the line of fire,
here to survive until the end of the last war.

Can it be so meaningless?
People losing everything in sight
on earth;
it's a fight!

Moments come
no time to think.
Pack it up
live another day
come on!
Hear this cry.

We say let's have peace;
still we go to war.
We do stand in the line of fire,
here to survive until the end of the last war.

Short Description
Reflection on people's suffering in times of war and the complicaton of choosing peace or choosing war.
Long Description
Reflection on life in war and wonderment on how people survive. Life is already hard enough, people have a million feelings that get complicated when living through war. When you see people losing everything and everyone they have, you ask yourself, is this meaningless. When the war begins you see the truth of its impact with people grabbing what they can and running for their lives. Most of us say we want peace, and yet we still go to war. However, no matter what side you are on, you fight to the end.
Story Behind the Song
When I was watching the news over and over during the Golf War I was saddened knowing that many people were suffering from bombings. The news reported the same stories of people grabbing everything in sight and fleeing from the war. It made me write this song. Then 10 years later, when the Trade Center towers were attacked, I returned to my song with more refined reflection on what is happening with people and war overseas and at home. Once again seeing refugees packing everything in sight to flee from bombings, I found myself with the same song but cynicism that even though we want peace, we all will fight until the end of the last war.

"Tell Me If You Don't Mind"

Written By: Max Bran

And it’s raining
inside the house.
Day after day
it’s the same old song.
Thrown together
Who cares why
So what.
All these thoughts
Go through my mind.

Tell me baby if you don’t mind.
Tell me baby
Want to work it out
I’m looking for some comfort you
Are you willing to make
Make stars burst?

At home
We get steered so wrong
And at times
We don’t know
Where to turn

Tell me baby if you don’t mind.
Tell me baby
Want to work it out
I’m looking for some comfort you
Lady lay your head on me
Let those baby tears dry.

Tell me baby if you don’t mind.
Tell me baby
Want to work it out
Tell me baby
Tell me baby
Tell me baby
If you don’t
Tell me if you don’t
Tell me if you don’t mind
Don’t mind
Don’t mind
Don’t mind
Don’t mind

Short Description
About a heart ache many love couples have at one time or another
Long Description
The flavor of the song is like a 007 theme and the music reflects the passion of the relationship.
Story Behind the Song
I had a friend who was married and going through difficult marital times. He would confide in me about their struggles and expressed his fear that they would divorce and break up the children. He badly wanted to work out the marriage and suffered deeply because he felt that he did not know how to do it.

Out Of Hand

Written By: Max Bran

How easy it can get out of hand
War and revenge.

Take out those ingredients
That make love
Then where does that leave us all?

I'd like to tell you
I wish to be by your heart.
But sometimes it get's so hard
All caught up with all that I do.

Burnin' up written songs
that don't make sense.

Burnin' up golden seconds
when we're out of love.

Burnin' up deep inside when we
don't give a damn.
Why?
Why?

How easy it can get out of hand War and revenge.
Take out those ingredients
That make love.
Then where does that leave us all?

How easy it can get out of hand War and revenge.
Take out those ingredients
That make love.
Then where does that leave us all?

Where does that leave us all?
Where does that leave us all? Yeah.
Where does that leave us all?

Leave us all
Leave us all
Leave us all
