Bio

Maxi

It is vividly apparent, that Maxi will one day dwell amongst the musical stars. Named Maxi-Madelynn by her late father, who believed that this name was well suited to grace concert hall marquees across the world. However, not even he could have imagined that this young woman would grow to have a voice that would bring many to their feet with applause, and echoes of praise and cheers.
As a professional songstress and a lover of all music styles, Maxi is no stranger to songwriting and producers. Her angelic harmonies ascend on high with effortless ease and are both bone-chilling and powerful. Passionately exemplified with style and grace, her mood evoking melodies, smooth buttery tones, impeccable timing and unpredictable phrasing, have moved her audiences to compare this young lady to legendary singers such as, ANGELA BOFILL, PHYLLIS HYMAN, TEENA MARIE, WHITNEY HOUSTON and PATTI AUSTIN. Though she is extremely honored by these comparisons. Maxi's biggest dream is to successfully create a vocal stance that is fiercely incomparable.
Her performance roster includes many known and soon to be known musical artists of all genres. To name a few, she has shared the stage with Blue Note jazz recording artist Patricia Barber and acclaimed Folk American songwriter Holly Long. Maxi graced the 2008 Chicago Sunday Morning CBS television program, "Different Drummer". She vocally co-led, and co-wrote for the Tallahassee, Florida original classic rock/funk fusion band, "Low Tide". It was through these musical experiences that Maxi honed her vocal skills by fine tuning harmonies, and tapping into her naturally inspiring lyrical ability.
Maxi moved to Chicago in 2005 and met Chicago bred music producer/artist Spike Rebel. The two musically bonded and thus began a 6 month challenging journey to the rewarding completion of "Soulful Integrity".
"Soulful Integrity" is layered with spirited soulful tunes like "I'M READY", R&B flavored "STAY FOR A WHILE", smooth jazz groovin' "2 Years", and a special guest appearance by Johnny "Mag" saxophone player. Though not forgetting her roots, as she lifts your spirit with inspirational tunes such as "LIFT HIM UP". Though this is Maxi's first album, you will be compelled by her convincing lyrical content and amazingly beautiful vocal style that caresses the spirit of all who listen.
"Soulful Integrity" is well worth the purchase and merits sharing with the world. Expect to hear more soulful melodies from this young lady who is making waves in the vast ocean known as "the music industry".
