Maxine Nightingale

Maxine Nightingale, Pop/Jazz Grammy Nominated International Recording Artist, has been touring all over the world for the past 25 years. Maxine is about to embark on her first major U.S. Jazz tour to promote her highly anticipated soon to be released CD “ LIFE” since she first debuted with her dance pop classic “Right Back Where We Started From” hit the airwaves in 1976. Maxine’s new CD release “LIFE” will be a mixture of jazz and pop standards.

Maxine Nightingale’s debut multi-platinum dance pop single “Right Back Where We Started From” hit number #1 (8 million copies sold) in 24 countries around the world, including the U.S. In 1976, Maxine Nightingale was nominated for a Grammy for “Best New Artist Of The Year” for the single “Right Back Where We Started From” Maxine Nightingale’s (1979) album “Lead Me On “ was certified double- platinum (2 million copies sold) in 20 countries and it garnered her second #1 platinum single “Lead Me On” on three separate Billboard Charts (Pop, R&B, and Adult Contemporary). It stayed on the top of the U.S. music charts for a record breaking 47 weeks. The song “Lead Me On” was recently placed at #11 on the Billboard Magazine’s Adult Contemporary Songs Of All Time (all songs released from the past century).

Over the past two decades Maxine has recorded 8 albums for RCA, United Artist and Windsong Records and extensively toured all over the world including Europe, Australia and Asia. She has toured over the years with some of the best in the business including Tina Turner, the late Marvin Gaye, The Commodores, Lionel Ritchie, Boz Scaggs, Average White Band, Teddy Pendergrass, The Temptations, The Rippingtons, and Chaka Khan. Maxine recently completed and extensive European nightclub-circuit tour and numerous jazz festival performances throughout the world.

She is currently on tour with Chic w/ Nile Rodgers, Thelma Houston, Anita Ward, Tavares, Rose Royce, The Trammps and a slew of dance artists from the disco era. Her signature song, “Right Back Where We Started From” can currently be heard in the “Starsky and Hutch” movie that stars Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson
