Maxmillian O'Connor

A simple story really; after growing up on the shores of Long Island, NY, Maxmillian O’Connor found refuge in listening to the passionate stylings of Stevie Wonder, Alanis Morissette, and various instrumental jazz artists. Moving to the suburbs of Western Maryland not too long after the age of 5 made the music scene hard to come by. Following numerous attempts at the drums, violin, trumpet, clarinet, Max finally found his calling within the piano. With musical influences like Stevie Wonder, David Bowie, Jason Mraz, Jazmine Sullivan, Duffy, Maroon 5, etc. it comes to no surprise that he searches for the deeper meaning in the music and lyrics, rather than the fluff-like conformity in clubs across the land. Max fuses Jazz with Pop and R&B on his acoustic guitar and piano, to create a sound that would perhaps foster the love-child of John Legend and Amy Winehouse…in the body of a 6”2’ Irish-American male.
