"Say a Prayer for the Boys in the Band"

http://urbanjewess.blogspot.com/2007/08/say-prayer-for-boys-in-band.html

Hey, what are you doing tomorrow night? What's that? Drinking cheap wine and watching Bridget Jones: The Edge Of Reason? Oh come on. Not again. You're better than that. Besides, it's embarrassing for all of us when you cry at the mushy parts. And be honest: Mr. Darcy is kind of a prick. Why don't you do us all a favor and pull yourself out of that miasma of self-loathing and head on down to Don Hill's to see your new favorite band, Maxwell's Demon?

Not only is Saturday's show a good chance to hear some great jams, it's also the perfect opportunity for getting in on the ground floor with these guys. That way, when they make it big, you can be like "oh yeah, me and the boys go way back" and make them buy you a million beers and introduce you to Stephen Malkmus. If you're still not sold, go here and let the music do the talking. It makes a much more convincing argument than I do. - Urban Jewess

Bio

Maxwell's Demon started when three ne'er-do-wells learned how to play guitars during a daring prison escape in New Jersey. Their music is punk-inspired indie-rock, blues-inspired punk, and slacker-inspired noiserock, and whole dose of melodic fun. Working on fall vacations and winter breaks, they recorded a smattering of collections of eager and awkward music. Finally coming together to live in the same city, for once and at long last, seven years after they first met to play music, they are rehearsing for a full length album and ready to take New York City by storm in bars, basements, lofts, parties, benefits, block parties, subway performances, yodeling on street corners, begging for spare change, changing tires, tipping with mediocrity - whatever it takes. Join them!
