Maxwell Street

Maxwell Street

Maxwell Street plays down n’ dirty blues! They layer modern sounds on top of the old Chicago foundations. The result is energetic, explosive, and emotional. Maxwell Street is unstoppable.

Maxwell Street met and formed while attending Berklee College of Music. They started off with a mutual interest in the Chicago blues, playing covers by Magic Sam and Albert King. They soon recognized the potential of the band and began writing original tunes that incorporated styles and techniques learned at Berklee with the old school blues sounds. The result is a new, exciting type of music that crosses many genres yet is fundamentally blues. These players may be polished educated musicians, but their emotion remains unclouded. Every note of a Maxwell Street show is deeply felt.
