Max Wray

Traveling in a world that has seen types like his before, Max Wray is striving to bring originality to the purest of musical genres. Born into an unmusical but musically appreciative family Max was put into endless amounts of music lessons as a child. He never thought much of them until later on in his life her had a realization that these lessons had now become his passion. He decided to pursue an education at Mohawk College in Hamilton Ont. Studying as a jazz drummer. While attending Max learned all about the skill set a musician must posses to succeed. After graduation Max played around the city in various bands. As he backed other musicians he learned their craft, their business sense, and how to keep bother sides separate but equal. While playing with other musicians he was also working on learning the guitar and writing songs of his own. Now an up-and-coming singer/songwriter he has been working on his craft, not just his songs but his performance and presence.
Max prides himself on bring an energetic, and spontaneous show every night he performs. Whether it’s working the audience and coming up with new material on the spot or reaching into his long list of original songs, he keeps the audience enthralled and constantly guessing. His voice is one that breathes honesty, integrity and a longing for hope. Songs about life and relationships are partnered with those that are more lighthearted as well as the always crowd pleasing Motown cover. As well as working as a full time musician, Max has starting working as a show promoter learning what it takes to get people in and coming back week after week.
Max’s ability to win over crowds has helped him gain a strong fan base, and a growing acclaim among his peers. He hopes that all this will lead him not to unyielding fame, but to a life of being able to play nightly, creating great music, and sharing his ideas with anyone that would be happy to listen.
