Maya Vik was known as the bass player with Norwegian Grammy winning disco/progressive pop group Montée, a-ha founder Paul Waaktaar's side project Savoy. She has recently taken on a solo career exploring modern boogie/funk/disco sounds, gaining worldwide recognition from fans within the genre, and crossover pop success with her single "On It (Kapow!)". Contributors to her recent release are Block Beattaz (US), Royalty (UK) and Morgan Phalen (US). Vik also has a strong presence in the fashion community. In 2007 she was voted the most beautiful woman in Norway by fashion magazine ELLE.
