Mayou, a creation of Gatineau, Quebec is the holder of a strong, moving and spectacular voice. This singer not only brings sentiment and true passion to the table but also possesses a stunning image and an appealing style. Known for her hip urban moves on stage and colossal vocals in the booth, this diva is here to stay and build her position in the music industry.

Growing up on the contrary, Mayou was an extremely shy kid. She found it very hard to express herself, let alone depict the experiences that effected her. As time progressed she found peace and confidence in the magic of dance and music and took an oath to challenge her fear of expressing her feelings and use music to share this courage with others. Having her roots as a French- Canadian, she grew older asking her father to write out lyrics to popular English songs, which she would therefore memorize and customize to her flavour and style. “Music was never played loud enough and I could never get enough of it.”, says Mayou who genuinely wants to create something new and trendy.

Mayou, since a young age was closely related to family members suffering from severe illnesses. On one hand she saw the talent and potential these people carried and on the other hand she dealt with their self destructive methods of living. She learned and appreciated the value of health, life and knew not everyone has the opportunity to live a blessed customary life. Being the youngest in a family of three daughters, Mayou always looked up to her older sisters but knew her path in life was not only different but adventurous and theatrical. She finally discovered her true self in music and dance. Music became Mayou’s first raw and real recognizable reflection. Music revealed her to her inner daemons; it took her on a wild ride to get over her timidity and to truly find the reason of her existence.

A skilled singer, a dynamic dancer and a fearless performer; these words barely do Mayou justice. By the time she entered high school Mayou had been teaching and managing a Dance Academy known by the name of Academy de dance Linda. During which she achieved a high level of recognition in various forms of dance such as Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip-hop, etc. By age 16 she was training with one of the best vocal coaches; Celine Guidon. Overly driven from a young age Mayou worked hard towards winning a scholarship and attended a renowned school in Boston for 3 years studying dance and music. Finally making her way into accepting an offer to attend the prestigious Randolph Academy which is specially designed to foster and enhance artist who are considered as a triple threat talent.

Mayou is famous for her stylish yet up-to-the-minute dance moves. She tops her trendy swag with an extravagant, touching and commanding singing which always leave her audience shocked and speechless. She has choreographed, as well as shared the stage with artists such as Deborah Cox, Willa Ford, Choclair, Cindy Gomez and many more. Mayou has ability to rock any stage, so far she has performed at venues such as Hard Rock Cafe,Dundas Square, The Horseshoe Tavern,Queen's Park,The Dard (Where she opened for Bendouin Soundclash), Featured Artist on Rogers Television, "Toronto Talent" Hosted by Quinn C. Martin, Locus 144 and has been a part of numerous fashion and various music related events.

After years of constant performing and steady involvement in the music industry, Mayou decided to take time off to reinvent herself as an artist. The break she took allowed her to go on a personal soul search and made her bigger, better and stronger than ever. Although she had to put her dream on hold, she was able find her spiritual side and makes her well deserved return with a huge bash of anticipation. She made her striking comeback in 2010, reintroducing herself as a powerful entertainer and dropping a never been heard before sound. Mayou’s message musically is to be focused, persistent and driven. She wants to move and touch people’s lives dramatically. She wants people to understand that her journey has never been easy but she has kept her head high and held her destination in sight.

Through the high and the lows, Mayou has survived. This bilingual singer cannot be broken and struggle only helps her become stronger and more motivated. This diva is here to stay and cannot be shaken.
