Biography

Born in Boston and raised all around the Greater Boston area, Mayson Freeman first began writing Hip Hop at the age of 14, when he and some friends would re-write songs they heard on the radio. By 17, Freeman had joined together with his partner in crime MG-1 to record their 1999 album The Right Angle, and Freeman began the process of founding Eighteen Angles Productions. In 2002, Free took the knowledge and experience he had gained from The Right Angle, and began working on a project with Boston producer Micide; Eighteen Angles: The Mixtape, vol. 1. All during this time, Freeman not only worked toward perfecting his craft musically, he also spent much of his time educating himself on a variety of topics relevant in the world today, so that his lyrics would have both more style and more substance than the competition. Now, more than ten years after first re-writing songs from the radio, Mayson Freeman is poised to take the industry by storm, no matter which of his talents ends up being the one to take him to the top.
