Mbijana Sibongiseni Sibisi Born August 26, 1991 in Durban KwaZulu Natal.
Mbijana is a poet, songwriter and guitarist.
Mbijana’s artistic abilities started emerging at the young age of 11 when he was featured in a school play playing the character of a poet. The music that he writes is influenced by the colors of life, both dark and light shade. In his songs you will find stories of hardship as well beautiful stories of love. In his lyrics he approaches society with a critical eye.
This artist was born on the south coast of Durban in a village called Madwaleni. Mbijana where he spent a lot of his childhood before moving to Mlazi in 1997 where he received his pre and primary education. He moved back to Madwaleni a few years later to escape township unrest which was particularly rampant in uMlazi. Not long after that the family moved to Newlands West Township.
Mbijana is a qualified Dental Nurse and Dental Technician. At the age of 22 he gave up his job as a dental technician to become a full-time musician and singer-songwriter, like his musical icons Tracy Chapman, Paul Simon, Vusi Mahlasela, and Bob Marley.
