One of the songs, “Empty Silhouettes”, will be found amongst their newest music. This song, in particular, has all the makings of a hit. Solid rock foundation with biting and emotional lyrics keeping you hooked from the soft intriguing intro all the way through. Hailing from Bloomingdale New Jersey, MCclinton is an emerging alternative rock band that continues to make great strides every day. Hard Driving Riffs, Big Catchy Hooks, and Impassioned Stage Antics only begin to describe this completely unique and opulent rock act. Formed in 2011, and formally signed to an indie label, the band has experienced many changes in a short amount of time. Conflicts with the label on the direction the band should go arose and they parted ways. MCclinton is now moving forward on the fast track with their own independent record label, M.A.G. Ent.?While lead vocalist/guitarist and primary songwriter Mike McClinton is the group’s undisputed leader, he is joined in the band by five other rock-steady musicians, Johnny Race – Guitar, Albert Rosa – Bass, Joe Currie – Keyboards, Frank Riha – Guitar, and Vinny Sardo on drums. The five rockin’ musicians provide the killer rhythm section driving McClintons’ powerful, red hot lead vocals.?MCclinton has many influences and they believe their sound is totally unique and that they belong in a sounds-like category of their own. When pushed to place them self in a sounds-like category it would have to be Daughtry, Sick Puppies, and 3 Doors Down.
Since the inception of the band, they have performed many high profile shows and with many national artists, some of which include Ace Frehley, Firehouse, and Randy Jackson (Zebra). Upcoming high profile shows will include Richie Scarlet and Z02 in June and July among others. “Our live performance is where the band shines”, states Mike McClinton. “We want the audience to feel like the band has connected with them and even though they paid ten or twenty dollars for a ticket; they leave feeling like a million dollars”.?McClinton’s new album is earmarked to hit the streets in June of 2012.
