You might go around saying you do, you probably say it all the time, but how much do you really love hip-hop? ‘Cause MC Jaz, he lives and breathes hip-hop. From the age of 12 when he was one half of Deaz Two, one of western Sydney’s seminal rap acts, to today where he is one of the nation’s premier club MCs (“my aim is to become number one MC in Australia,” he asserts), MC Jaz is undoubtedly one of hip-hop’s proudest ambassadors.
“I give an interactive performance with the crowd and DJs, a live show that keeps people happy and makes their clubbing night an experience they will remember and want to keep coming back to,” Jaz enthuses about his MC skills. “I also like to educate the crowd by letting them know new music is being played, giving them shout outs and birthday wishes, and even making them get on stage with me to dance.” He laughs, “I guess you could say I’m more of a ‘crowd motivator’ than a master of ceremonies.”
Having rocked the mic at numerous concerts and after-parties including Black Eyed Peas, Puff Daddy Promo Tour, Public Enemy, K-Ci & JoJo, Lost Boyz, Fugees, Blackalicious, Next, Usher, Ja Rule, De La Soul, MTV Asia, The Rock Staedy Crew and many more, Jaz also shares his talents with not-so-expected audiences: from community festivals to underage parties to corporate Christmas parties to fashion launches, Jaz has done it all, gaining a large, varied following along the way. Due to his work ethic and noted versatility, Jaz is currently the official MC at Australia’s largest weekly urban music event, $elebrity, rocking the joint from Sydney to Perth to Canberra to the Gold Coast to Darwin and all around Australia. And how did he score such an in-demand gig?
“I’m a clown,” he says, laughing. “I like to make people really enjoy themselves. I don’t like to overkill MCing because people did come to hear the music as well, so I come in when needed and really interact with them. I like to hype people up just to keep them on the dance floor.”
Amidst the aforementioned performances and his graphic design company “go.knude” Jaz is currently working on his debut solo album “All that Jaz”, which promises more madcap humour, highly anticipated guest appearances, and, of course, a thorough glimpse into his steadfast allegiance to hip-hop.

From the age of fourteen when he was one half of Deaz Two, one of western Sydney’s seminal rap acts, to today where he is one of the nation’s premier club MCs (“my aim is to become number one MC in Australia,” he asserts), MC Jaz is undoubtedly one of hip-hop’s proudest ambassadors. Australias leading party motivator, MC Jaz has rapidly developed and is one of the most sought after Mcs in the industry. A major player with a strong crowd following, Jaz has become synonymous with the rnb and hip-hop scene. Jaz has also worked exclusively as the official MC at Ja rule, Ashanti, Usher and De La Soul after parties and also as a resident MC at Rnb Superclubs around Australia.
Over the years Jaz has pretty much rocked almost every one of sydneys rnb Hip Hop night clubs either hosting the nite or performing. 12 years deep into the MC'ing game, MC Jaz has travelled nationally and internationally as Australias favourite party motivator. Most recently he hosted Australias first annual Urban Music Awards show in 2006. Jaz is a true crowd favourite, guranteed to turn any party out, he was voted #1 MC by industry heavyweights. A man of many characters, Jaz is currently in the studio preparing his official introduction to the recording industry with his debut mixtape album.
Dolla:
Dolla was born into music, from a very young age he discovered the piano and with no effort was playing anything that passed his ears, it was evident he was born with a musical gift. As he grew a little older he discovered G Funk and Hip Hop and developed a love for the music. Dolla started Djing and eventually by the age of 16 was creating beats that were making artists stop and listen twice. When we ask Dolla how he feels about music he replys "Music to me is a form of art, like my fingers are the paint brushes and the sound is the paint. A form of self expression and
a form of release from reality".
Being the new kid on the block, Dolla has already grasped the attention of the underground Hip Hop scene with his skills as a producer and writer. Utilizing his secret weapon, the TalkBox, Dolla has more recently stepped into performing for several artists worldwide including California natives, Shade Sheist & N.U.N.E, whos mixtape also featured 4 songs produced by Dolla himself. A qualified Audio Engineer, Dolla holds a diploma of Technical Production which he recieved at the prestigious SAE college in Sydney in 2006. Dolla is now preparing his debut album, "Intromental" to be released in 2008 showcasing his musical skills as a composer, writer, performer, engineer and producer.
