McKelly LaJaunski Thomas (born December 22,1977) known professionally as McKelly LaJaunski is an American R&B and soul singer-songwriter currently signed to 16 Bars Entertainment. In 2004, his astonishing performance,of an a'ccappella rendition of Usher's "Burn"; blew away the judges,which included hip hop artist Bun B of UGK in the KBXX/97.9 The Box's, Hatta's Idol competition in Houston,Texas. LaJaunski was born in Opelousas, Louisiana and raised in Ville Platte. He grew up in a Christian household with his two sisters Yosia and Hanna Thomas and single mother Winnie Toussaint who worked as a cosmetologist. His love for music began at an early age while singing in the church choir at the St. Paul and Greater Mount Pleasant Baptist churches in Ville Platte, Louisiana. Musical influences such as: Smokey Robinson,Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Babyface, R.Kelly, Donell Jones, and Joe inspired him to pursue his career in music.

In 1999, LaJaunski moved to Houston, Texas in hopes of pursuing his music career,later joining a variety of singing groups always holding the position as lead singer. In 2004, he received an unexpected phone call from a local record producer Ricardo Campbell and songwriter Ryan West, recording his first solo album Beware which was unreleased. LaJaunski relocated to Austin, Texas in 2006, where he currently resides. He released a buzz single for his album, title "Material Thangs" on March 3, 2010. The single was produced by music producer Kris "KrisKeyz" Howell and written-arranged by LaJaunski himself. He has written songs for ABC Kids/MC Antenne to include "Believe", "If You Want To Be Cool", and is a co-writer and featured artist on "Readers of the World"! LaJaunski is also a featured artist on J-Dash's "Ride Wit U", D-Blunts"Tired of Strugglin" and "Peep Da' Slang". His solo album titled The Definition of A Man is scheduled to be released in the summer of 2011.
