Ronny McKinley was born in Polk County, FL. Jody Beggs was born in Alachua County, FL. However, these guys wouldn't cross paths until it was meant to be. They met in Live Oak, FL where both guys were at the same venue. Backstage, they talked about Nashville, their future in the music industry and come to find out both of them were moving to Nashville the following week. And so they did…separate ways…different paths…. but never lost touch. Eventually, fate stepped in and decided what was meant to be...and that's when McKinley & Beggs began. They cut their first demo and as fate would have it once again, it fell in to the hands of the legendary, Mel Tillis. Tillis was very impressed with the sound of McKinley & Beggs and immediately had the guys in the studio...and as the saying goes, the rest is history!
