UNO which stands for Mookie Da 1, was born in Long Island New York,
where he was raised up until the age of nine then moved to the Southside
of Atlanta Georgia. With Tupac being his biggest inspiration it was
then in Atlanta that he wrote his first lyrics and he fell in love with
the hip hop genre of music as a whole. In his early teens MD UNO fell
into a lifestyle of selling drugs but then throughout the ages of 16-21
years old he was picked up and experienced many spiritual occurrences
that created a love and reverence for God that was life changing. As
years have went by MD UNO continues to grow as an artist and as a
lyricist consistently dropping collections of music and building his fan
base. In his lyrics you get the deepest depths of who he is, he
addresses the issues and topics of discussion that some are afraid to
discuss similar to his mentor and idol Tupac. To
describe his style in little words it has an up north feel, with a down
south swagger to it. Without a doubt his music will inevitably change
the rap game as you know it! He has performed at clubs all over the
Atlanta area and has worked with producers like Avery Johnson (A-1) the
producer of Bone Crusher’s “Never Scared,” and a number of other local
producers and artists. MD UNO is a graduate of Clayton State University
with his Bachelors Degree in Business Management. To follow this artist
is to witness the impossible become possible!
