With an early fast pace way of living traveling from Mississippi to Louisiana and back home to Colorado comes MDZ. Known for his electrifying stage performance, powerful lyrics and swag of his own MDZ is a young man of power. An attention grabber at first sight standing six-foot-one, 218lbs and with a passionate delivery. The southern style-mid-west rapper can do it all. A force on stage performing with mainstream acts such as T.I., Rick Ross, T-Pain and many more MDZ has earned the title “Young Boss”.
Besides his associate’s degree in Business Administration and certification as a sound and lights tech, MDZ is a great writer and self-promoter. His summer mix-tape release “Put It in the Air” by mix-tape king DJ Smallz MDZ racked up over a half million view and downloads from fear factor music.com and MySpace. Needless to say the project has built a major buzz and anticipation for the single new single “Get Down.” Featuring “Mr. Ricky Bobby” B-Hamp and female sensation Kitty Kat “Get Down” is set to sweep the nation.
This all comes after a blazing feature on Young Bleeds’ (formerly of No limit Records) hit album “Rise through the Ranks.” From major tours to music conference performances such as TSMC, SXSW, TJ’s DJ’s and more. MDZ has internationally released one full length album with RND Distribution, as well as two successful singles. New music, increasing radio play, and true internet success will MDZ to move the masses.

Behind The Entertainer:
Born September 5th to a fifteen year old mother MDZ “Richard Mathes” was subject to the streets. With no father in his life from birth MDZ born in Denver Colorado was moved in his first 48 hours of living to Cleveland Ohio. There only a few days he was moved to Laurel, Mississippi with his grandmother and on to Baton Rouge, Louisiana by age 7. Lost in the struggle and back in Colorado MDZ found himself becoming a product of his environment by age 12. Surrounded by gangs, alcohol, and a drug abusive mother MDZ looked to sports as a way out. “Our neighborhood was filled with death and violence so there was no room to be scared football became a way to release, it was organized violence to me.” With strong academics to back him MDZ headed to Iowa State University. After a short time God lead him back to his passion for music. He returned to Denver and began his pursuing his own independent record label, closing out his degree at DBC (Denver Business College) and his shot at the top.
