Welsh 4 piece Mea formed in the winter of 2004 and quickly became an established act on their local music scene. Mea then went on to achieve national and international press (live coverage on bridge fm, liver sessions and interviews on gtfm 106.9. best welsh unsigned act 2005 at gbob.com and a top 10 finish for gbob international.) the band decided to take their music further a field and playing venues which include the University of Reading, The Garage Islington, Birxton Telegraph, The Astoria, Charring cross, London.
In those 2 years mea have aspired from a local band with potential to a hard working outfit with promise and over 180 gigs under thier belt in the time they've been running. With their uniquely melodic yet powerful yet powerful sound they have not only created their genre but fused it with others to not only appeal to everyone but to inject them with a passion and excitement they thought impossible to feel about a band.
