Two Belgian blokes and a Dutch guy living in Germany teamed up as the band called Meadow.
A drum kit with a fanfare bass drum, one acoustic and one electric guitar provide the basic ingredients the threesome build their sound with. Striking is the absence of a bass guitar enabling them to explore the full range of dynamics which has taken their music to the next level. Additional instruments like piano, glockenspiel, mandolin (and if you’re lucky a pedal steel guitar) are the cream topping the cake.

David Broeders, Tom Veugen and Marcel Jansen play semi acoustic pop songs highly influenced by the likes of The Swell Season, Fleet Foxes, The Black Atlantic, Elbow, Thomas Dybdahl and many more.
Uncanny, experimental guitar sounds combine with Marcel´s warm and soulful voice to create an atmosphere reminiscent of Jeff Buckley and Nick Drake. Guitarist Tom, drummer David and guitarist/vocalist Marcel succeed in recreating this sort of feel perfectly in the live shows. (note: in another life, Marcel performed at the Dutch Pink Pop festival and made it to the final of the De Grote Prijs van Nederland as a songwriter)
His lyrics are introspective and poetic leaving you with a sense of natural meditation.
A contemporary songwriter is back on the scene – big time!
