Bio
Music is my life in more ways than one. I love all things about music. I love to listen to music, play music, but I really love to write my own music. I first started out just singing to tracks. From there I learned to play the guitar. I have since added a few instruments, the Ukulele is my second favorite instrument to play. I also like to play the piano and drums, although I am not as good at them. I am a one man band, just me, my voice and my guitar. I am often asked who I am most like, that is hard for me to answer. I think I have the story telling ability of Taylor Swift, but the vocal styling is hard to pin point. I feel like I sound like myself, but have been said to sound similar to many talented vocalists. The most often comparisons are Jewel, Nora Jones, Sheryl Crow, Avril Lavigne, and Janis Joplin. Quite an amazing group of women to be compared to. I feel honored.
My great grandpa, Harold, is the most influential person in my life when it comes to music. He could play any instrument put in his hands. He was so inspiring and he put the music spark inside me. Taylor Swift is by far the most influential songwriter to me. She always tells a great story. That is exactly what I like to do. I also love the songwriting style of Christofer Drew, from a band called Never Shout Never.
I really enjoy performing. Being in front of a crowd is what makes me the happiest. When I step on to the stage, my heart starts pounding and my blood starts pumping, and I just let the crowd fuel me. I have experiences in many different venues, which gives me the ability to appeal to different types of people and musical styles. I love to leave the crowd wanting more.
