MeanMan

MeanMan, the band, was formed as a side project in the late 90's by Tom and Kurt of Dumbug, an original band from Central PA who once ruled this land in the 20th century and had run its course by 2004.

MeanMan is musical expression of frustration with modern day survival, the trials and tribulations of love and family, rising fuel costs, aging and the continued decline of Western Civilization. MeanMan has always been a mouth piece for what no one wants to hear, the bad news.

AJ was playing keyboards with WiseAcre when they shared a show with MeanMan at 3DCD in York. He was moved by what MeanMan provided and soon took over drum responsibilities. As a three piece we concentrated on crafting songs and our sound with tireless rehearsals, traditionally we all had written to tape and let it stand, we were now designing powerful and dangerous music.

MeanMan is dedicated to the Central PA region and the members value their experiences on such stages as Ottobar in Baltimore, The Depot of York, Chameleon Club in Lancaster, Khyber Pass Pub and Trocadero in Philadelphia, CBGB's, the Vault in Harrisburg, showcases at Philadelphia Music Conference and Millennium Music Conferences, plus all the cracks in between.

MeanMan is a professional and credible live act with many years of performing experience on stage. MeanMan plays MeanMan music very well. Check it out, let it sink in. MeanMan took inspiration from a great man, my Father, who worked at the local rendering plant. I think he hated his job, but he did it well. He would come home angry, proud, not feeling sorry that his stench offends. Rock on, it is still about the music. Peace.
