Meant to Bleed is best described as a straight forward rock band layered with elements of metal, punk, and pop. The band was formed in June 2010.
The band recorded its first EP in October 2010. The EP was recorded at Rivergate Studios in Hendersonville, TN and released via self distribution in February 2011.

Fronting the band is Fran Horton. She is an incredibly passionate guitar player (formerly of Atomic Blonde) turned lead singer, guitarist, and the predominent songwriter for Meant To Bleed. At her side is the intense Kim Lee on bass and backing vocals. There's nothing cliche about this "girl-fronted" band. Fran and Kim perform with angst, lust, anger, love, pain, and elation with conviction beyond their years. Let the head banging, dancing, catharsis, and pure rock experience begin!
