"Mediacrime"

Not just a band, more of a movement - Goldens Guitars

"Local Musicians"

Mediacrime calls itself "Heavy Americana". That is, their sound comprises elements of all the music that has come past them (provided they liked it, of course). The band is fronted by guitarist/vocalist, and songwriter Eddie Havoc, Drums and vocals are held down by Vicki Liotta, who can pound 'em like Keith Moon or jam in a fluid, jazzy groove. C. Chris Peters play keys, theremin and various electronic instruments, shaping their distinctive massive sound. John Russo on bass rounds it all out. Shifting across the spectrum from Folk-Rock, to Island-Influenced, to Heavy Rock, to Country- Influenced, to Psychedelic, their sets are never the same.
Guitar/theremin/percussion duels punctuated by Havoc's manic stage craft make their live performances something that you'll never forget. While basically a song- oriented group, boy, can they Jam!
Music and Video are available at WWW.Mediacrime.com - Live Magazine

"Mediacrime"

Their music is a sort of a "Heavy Americana" that hits you hard and makes you move, their performance is highly energetic and sometimes slightly zany. Mediacrime's live experience feels like a roller coaster being drawn up the first hill of the ride, a machine gun that shoots you like a bullet through a strobe light of nostalgic images in a dark space, as a wizard fights a monster of sound before you. - Interrobang

Bio

Mediacrime calls itself "Heavy Americana". I'm talking about that folky, grimey, Americana sound of Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Guess Who, The Contours with a pinch of the Doors. With the visceral, visual spectical of the MC5, The Who and The Ramones and there you have Mediacrime.

For more than a decade Mediacrime has been fronted by guitarist/vocalist Eddie Havoc. The band has undergone several permutations, but this, all agree is the best edition of the band. Drums and vocals are held down by Vicki Liotta, who can pound 'em like Keith Moon or jam in a fluid, jazzy groove. C. Chris Peters play keys, theremin and various electronic instruments, shaping their distinctive massive sound. John Russo lays down the bass.

Guitar/theremin/percussion duels punctuated by Havoc's manic stage craft make their live performances something that you'll want to see.
