"Staff Recommendation @ Absolute Punk"

"Set the name and image aside; Medicated Kisses aren't your typical female-fronted rock band. This Boston quintet completely blows the doors off of many unsigned and even quite a few signed bands with their aggressive rock 'n roll sound. Alanna, MK's frontwoman, has one of the deepest voices I've heard in contemporary rock. Is this lofty praise for an unsigned band? Of course, but it's well-deserved. Recommended: "A Wolf Among Lilacs"."

*A band that you need a perscription to make out with. Cant really give this one away!! - Absolute Punk

""These guys have it all...""

"These guys have got it all - powerful, relevant rock and roll that is smart and young and sexy and as a bonus will change the way which women contribute on the musical scene. Somehow they combine the essence of music that we remember from our childhoods with what we hear on the radio today -it is really really good, and I am proud to be a part of it."
-Michael Birnbaum, producer of Coheed and Cambria/The Sleeping/Codeseven - Michael Birnbaum

Simply put, Medicated Kisses aren't your ordinary pop rock band. Formed early in 2005, MK hit the ground running with writing, performing, and refining their unique post-pop sound. Combining multi-genre influences, from jazz to hip-hop to R&B to rock, Medicated Kisses take elements that are typically pop and flip it to make the music interesting and uniquely their own. This band's relentless work ethic has culminated into an intense live following supported by a self-release EP (produced by Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner: Coheed and Cambria, The Sleeping, CodeSeven).
The foundation is laid by Sal on drums, Murf on guitar, Aaron on bass, and Chuck on guitar. MK is led by strong female vocals that are more than "just another gimmick." Alanna V.'s vocal acrobatics permeate through even the toughest of crowds.
Medicated Kisses' live show is a force to be reckoned with. Infectious songs and hooks for days will have your toes tapping and your hands clapping long after the crowds have filed out. Filled with passion and a hunger to entertain, this band is poised to be a breath of fresh air in a scene oversaturated by the same old thing.
