Medicine Monkeys

The origin of the Medicine monkeys dates as far back as 2006, but the current members joined forces in spring of 2009 with the aquirement of a new drummer. The Medicine Monkeys mostly threw poop around and screamed at other monkeys until, in early 2010, the band was invited to play at a local event known as "Baconfest". The event forced them to get serious and hold off on their poop throwing. Needless to say, the Medicine Monkeys rocked the house with ridiculous shinanigans, minor injuries, and equipment damage. From that day forth, they made it commonplace to put on the craziest show they could for even the smallest of crowds. Since then, they have played various parties, a gig at the Phantasy club in Lakewood, OH, and flopped around the stage at the Tri-C Rock Off. They've been told they sound similar to The Dead Boys, Minor Threat, Cage the Elephant and a Pixie like band. They also have been told by the band, Cage the Elephant, that they sound like Let's Wrestle. Are they "Crazy"?, "Awesome?", Perhaps so. But one thing is for sure. The Medicine Monkeys are a whole lotta commotion!
