The world of Hip Hop swooped up Medina as soon as he heard it. It's as if Hip Hop took him by the hand and showed him a way to escape his troubles. Medina’s life experience and thought is explicitly expressed in his music composition and intense style of rapping. Medina Maestas started as a D.J. in Denver and progressed to song writer, M.C, music producer, audio engineer, and owner of Immortal Mobbin’ Records. The first time I heard UTFO and their D.J. scratching I was locked. Making music is a refuge for me. It’s what I count on-it helps me live. Having a dream, and being able to mold it from nothing to everything, is what Medina is all about.
