Bio

The band's front man and guitarist is Justin Fox. Just 19, he has already been playing professionally for 4 years. Strumming his first chords at the age of 12, he learned from the sounds of Muddy Waters, Jimi Hendrix, Hubert Sumlin, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. Griffin Guitars had granted Justin an endorsement by the time he was 17, and it's easy to see why. With a guitar in his hands more often than not, Justin writes new material on an almost daily basis, borrowing from his eclectic tastes to help create the band's own sound.

Bringing the bottom end to this three piece is Dave Morse. Receiving his first bass and a Charlie Mingus disc 13 years ago, Dave's parents told him to "roll with it". And he has. Growing up Dave was surrounded by the sounds of John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Parliament Funkadelic, and Sam and Dave. Later Dave would discover more modern greats Victor Wooten, Les Claypool and Stanley Clarke. Two years of music study at Western Carolina University and playing in bands such as Malfunktion, Mars Capone, and Redwood has given Dave the chance to share the stage with some of today's biggest stars. Alice Cooper, The Dave Matthews Band, Rage Against the Machine, and Pearl Jam are just a few bands Dave has shared the bill with. With more of his influences including Led Zeppelin, The Black Crowes, and the Beatles, Dave's style fits well with Medusa Stone's roots approach to rock n' roll.

Deep in the pocket sits Jeremy Summers. His natural ability to weave in and out of charging bass lines and scorching riffs takes a back seat only to his innate awareness of his bandmates. His soulful style and steady presence anchor this dynamic trio. He began playing drums at the age of 8 and hasn't stopped since. After playing with every musician he could find, Jeremy began gigging with My Kat Randi. This Raleigh, NC band was Jeremy's initiation into the realm of touring and studio recording. My Kat Randi enjoyed success on college radio and shared the bill with groups like Widespread Panic, Whiskey Town, Jam Pain Society, and Johnny Quest. Some of Jeremy's influences are Led Zeppelin, Primus, Fishbone, James Browne, Pink Floyd, and Jane's Addiction. Jeremy counts John Bonham, Buddy Rich, Tim Alexander, Bill Ward, and Mitch Mitchell as his top five favorite drummers. His solid beats drive and help define the band's unique sound.
