Bio
The Meeting Places was founded in September 2001 in Los Angeles, California by four guitarists. Musically influenced by a wide range from The Velvet Underground, The Stone Roses and Can to the pop music they grew up listening to as kids.
The band has played the 2001 and 2003 San Francisco Noise-Pop Festival and South By Southwest in Austin, Texas in both 2003 and 2005. In 2006 the band performed in Taipei and also did and in-store at performance at one of the largest record stores in the city.
We were also featured as Spin Magazine's Artist of the Day.
The quartet has performed with bands such as Chapterhouse, Ulrich Schnauss, American Analog Set, Local Natives, 18th Dye, Film School, Letting up Despite Great Faults and Miranda Lee Richards.
