Megan LuRose

A world traveler, Megan has performed in Mexico, Trinidad, Spain and Guinea as well as making numerous appearances in the United States. Megan's first CD was recorded in Port of Spain, Trinidad and is titled, "Life Like A Gypsy."

Upon returning to the US, Megan completed her second CD, "Siren of the Sea." Recorded at Gradwell House Recordings in Haddon Heights, New Jersey and mixed and mastered at A-Pawling Studios in Pawling, New York.

Megan's third CD is a Spanish CD titled, "Tan Dulce Como Tu" (As Sweet As You) produced by four-time Grammy award winner Ray Santos and recorded at Skylight Studio by Guido Diaz (Celia Cruz, India).

Megan's newest CD, "Something to Believe In" was produced by Jimmy Pritchard and Peter Richan. It was recorded at Buckeye Recording by sound engineer Peter Richan.
The musicians playing on the CD include Philly favorites such as Frank Butrey-lead guitar, Jimmy Pritchard-Bass, Adam Stranburg-drums, Mikey Jr.-harmonica, and Michael McShane-slide guitar.

Megan's style is best described as Sultry Americana. This is heard in the new CD, in songs such as, "Time to Be Happy" that has a sexy blues groove, "Haley" with its upbeat African rhythms and the lyrical ballad, "Out of Order."

Megan's music has aired on WXPN, Philadelphia, WMIZ, Vineland, and WVUD, Delaware.

Her song, "Life Like A Gypsy" was a gold award winner in the Shout Back Music Contest.

Megan performed on the WXPN Folk Show and was interviewed by host Chuck Elliott, who was sitting in for Gene Shay on February 13, 2011.
