After playing the club scene for years in their home town, guitarist Brian Gresh and vocalist Melissa Williams decided to form a band together to play the music they were truly passionate about. They knew that by combining their musical talents they would stand out from the rest of the bands in their scene. So in January 2005, MEGATRON was created. Since then, MEGATRON has launched their Rock n' Roll assault on the Tulsa music scene and has claimed legions of devoted fans.
Not only is this music machine armed with an arsenal of rockin cover songs, they also have their own originals with lyrics written by Melissa and music composed by Brian. The four members of MEGATRON believe that the visual impact of a show is just as important as the musical impact, so they dress the part and their performance on the stage gives the audience a night to remember. The guitar player even performs back flips mid-guitar solo! All of MEGATRON’s members have a deep admiration for the music and stage performances of bands such as Van Halen, Heart, Led Zeppelin, Pat Benatar, Guns 'n Roses, and Yngwie, just to name a few.
Currently, MEGATRON is recording 11 of their originals at Armstrong studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Check out the official website, www.megatronband.com for their show dates and for more info about the band.
