SoloChristianSinger/Songwriter

My music is to glory God. It is acoustic and contemporary Christian. I play guitar and piano. Most of my music is explicitly Christian, but even my "secular" songs have God-honoring lyrics.

Biography

I play music because I have too. Sound crazy? Maybe. But I feel that it is part of who God made me and though some people live on bread and water, I live on chords and arpeggios. This is my passion, and it is who I am.
My music is probably in the style of Bethany Dillion, Nichole Nordeman, and/or Meredith Andrews. I also love broadway musicals so I like to write music that tells a story. But mostly, I like to write songs that share my heart. I am quiet, I am young, I am not eloquent, but I can tell you who I am through music. Come listen and hear my heart.

Lyrics

Flying Blind

Written By: Meg Christian

It was easy going
flying with the current
seeing for miles and miles
it’s so easy to trust
when I know my next step
it’s not hard to smile
but then you took my sight
and I’m feeling like a kite
whose strings been cut away
how am I supposed to follow
God wherever you go
when I can’t see the way

CH:
I’m flying blind
I’ve no idea where I’m going
it’s so hard
to keep on not knowing
how it’s going to end
what’s it going to be
do you still have a plan for me
will you be my sight
as long as I’m in flight
and flying blind

thought I knew what trust was
say a little prayer
then do things my own way
who was I kidding
truth is coming clear now
I don’t have strength for today
I’m glad you took my sight
cause now I see the light
and I’ve learned you are enough
I don’t have to worry
even when I can’t see
and the sky’s are rough

CH:
I’m flying blind
I’ve no idea where I’m going
it’s so hard
to keep on not knowing
how it’s going to end
what’s it going to be
do you still have a plan for me
will you be my sight
as long as I’m in flight
and flying blind

though I would prefer an easier road
I know the bad times are an ode
to all you can overcome
and safe in your arms I starting to find

CH:
that I love flying blind
with no idea where I’m going
it’s still hard
to keep on not knowing
how it’s going to end
what’s it going to be
but you still have a plan for me
you will be my sight
as long as I’m in flight

how it’s going to end
what’s it going to be
but you still have a plan for me
you will be my sight
as long as I’m in flight
and flying blind

Set List

My typical set list involves a few worship songs (i.e. Blessed Be Your Name, I Could Sing of Your Love Forever, etc) and then about thirteen of my songs. I alternate between guitar and piano.
