Bio
Meggi Faye is a female singer/songwriter living in the Waterloo area. She started writing songs on her guitar at the age of 16 and moved to Toronto at 18 to purse her music and meet other musicians.
She released her first self-titled EP 'Meggi Faye' in 2007 and wrote and recorded the 6 songs in her apartment using an acoustic guitar and a banjo. The EP was co-produced by bass player Haig Istanboulian and included several friends who helped to make it a success.
Meggi hooked up with indie label Out Of Sound Records and headed on the road with them in 2007 touring through the east coast in support of her EP.
Her songs have been described as unique yet simple, emotional and provocative. A blend of folk, rock and poetry.
Meggi has played all across Toronto in a 3 piece guitar, drums and bass trio. She's been seen at such venue's as The El mocombo, The Cadillac Lounge, The Freetimes Cafe and The Toronto Taste Festival.
