Meghan McKown is a straight-ahead jazz vocalist with a distinctly modern sound. Equally at home in Jazz, Blues and Latin, she brings her own fresh approach to everything she sings. A versatile vocalist, she possesses outstanding control of her instrument. Her tone ranges from rich and soulful to clear and pristine.

In May 2004, Meghan received her B.A. in Jazz Performance from Michigan State University. She has performed with the legendary Jon Hendricks, as well as other great jazz talents including bassist Rodney Whitaker of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra and trombonist/composer Wycliffe Gordan. Since moving to Chicago in late 2005, Meghan has done commercial work for SoundSlave recording studio and gained a following as lead vocalist for the praised folk band, Dyed in the Wool.

With Meghan, every show is distinctive and captivating. She draws in her audience with breathtaking vocals and uninhibited improvisation, creating an inspired and unforgettable performance.
