Bio
Meg O'Riley has emerged from a background of the hard rocking pub scene of Melbourne Australia. Her music is best described as Acid Country, music with a country heart but with an original bite. From sublime ballads to powerful rockin' tunes, she is something to behold.
Her band consists of gig hardened pro's, chosen from the sea of talent that is the Australian music scene.
Her influences range from Bonnie Raitt, Janis Joplin, Michelle Shocked and Bill Withers to Mary Gauthier. She has a touch of Edith Piaf in her approach to some of her songs.
She has been writing and recording with Chris Pettifer in his Melbourne studio - Ritzland Music, where they have completed a large body of work. Recording the musicians she takes on the road has been a real positive for live performances, as these guys are hot.
