One of the most virtuosotic musicians to come out of Israel is a performer named Meir Shitrit, whose debut album, Way, is a laid-back and diverse release, including a large selection of colors and textures in twelve songs influenced by Jazz, World, and New Age from 2012.


Born to a musical family in Kiryat Malachi, been playing from childhood, his father pass him the passion for music.
He graduate of the Jerusalem Music Academy majoring jazz performance, also received the desirable scholarship from Berkeley College in Boston, his teachers were leading jazz players in the Israeli Jazz music scene like Yossi Levy, Omer Avital and Albert Beger.
After graduating music academy Meir become well known in the Israeli music industry and played with almost every famous singer there, also as a session player he recorded guitars on many albums.
In 2012 he released his instrumental record "WAY”, which was attended by the country's leading musicians of Israel and collaborating with Ethiopian singer Hagit Yasu who won the Israeli version of American Idol.
The album is a creation of three years, and combines various styles of instrumental music.
Meir also plays variety of instruments on this album: The Greek bouzouki, the Turkish baglama, and the Hawaiian lap steel guitar.
A year ago Meir moved to San Diego California, and has been playing with local successful bands as Todo Mundo, The Teagan Taylor Trio, and with the local Jazz&blues scene musicians
