Meladona

Meladona is an indie rock band with a strong sound and greatest songs, originally from Buenos Aires , Argentina , formed in 2010. Its made by Mark Colman , Sebastian Ripoll , Nahuel Maeso Ameloti and Ezekiel Milton Durand .

" Long time ago in a galaxy far far away " Mark Colman (voice ) had moved to Cap . Fed to join in the Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in the city and looking for musicians to form a band. Sebastian Ripoll ( bass) met Mark at a concert where this was presented .

Later , Colman was living on the streets of Buenos Aires ( literally) and was when Sebastian invited him to live in his apartment , which define them both as friends and band members .

The songs were made during and late into the night , as both would have to keep their jobs during the day, in that moment everything was recorded in a makeshift studio in their own homes , for that first time is the first single band My Girl Is Dead , which was recorded and produced independently with Mark as producer. During the same year, Nahuel Maeso (guitar ) who soon would become a member and great friend of Sebastian and Mark . In 2010, the band performed their first performances in city basements , festivals and concerts where they received an unexpected response from the public ( Girls taking off clothes, literally). In 2011 the band got to play at The Roxy Live Bar for the first time with The Utopians , were present that night journalists from Rolling Stone, who were impressed with the band, mentioning them immediately as " one of the bands Argentinas there you know " and comparing them with bands like Queens of the Stone Age . During that same year , they presented their first official video " It's Alive " directed by Sebastian Lopez , a friend of the band (Infected Mushroom, among other works ) . They shared the stage with important bands from the city , and also prepared what would be his first EP " Tempestad " recorded in the 2014 summer, in the ROF studio and mixed in the studio of Marcelo Depetro (who was in charge of record mythical Argentine bands like Fun People, 2 minutes , etc.) . The Ep registered let the rawness of their first material, it carries the meaning of life doing something magical and go for what you want always , a characteristic signal of the musicians that grow from below , which spread the free spirit that makes the rock that is.
