Bio
Ophelia is fronted by Belleville native Melanie Hilmi who began her music career in Toronto as a solo artist performing acoustic sets at various bars around the city such as Holy Joes & The Free Times Café. Melanie honed her live craft sharing the stage with such talent as Dayna Manning & Damhnait Doyle, establishing Melanie as a solid live performer. In spring of 2005 Melanie formed the band Ophelia and continues to perform her pop rock based original material throughout Toronto and surrounding area. As a solo Artist Melanie Hilmi continues to play acoustic shows in and around the city.
