"Other Music Concert Pick"

"...charming Americana trance pop/adult contemporary psych chanteuse Melanie Moser, whose 2005 full-length solo release included collaborations with members of Oneida, Oakley Hall, Tomorrow’s Friend and Awesome Color. Supported tonight by the Eleventh Hour Band, which adds a country twang to her typical folk-rock repertoire, this show is recommended" - Other Music, NYC

"TimeOut - August"

"Melanie Moser’s loose, multihued songs have been coloring the fringes of the local underground scene for years. She has the sort of low-key magnetism that draws complementary musicians to her, and her current group ably assists in elevating her pretty folk tunes to someplace between the now and then. Her music is of the earth but tends to hover a few inches above it, know what we mean?" - TimeOutNY

"Starry Eyed Festival w/ the Budos Band"

Melanie Moser and the Eleventh Hour: Melanie's new outfit, lies somewhere in between folk, psychedelia, and the band, The Band. Classic rock-boogie psych, with some great steel licks from ex- Boggs member Zeke Healy, and spirited stomping from an all-star band.

- Pelican Press

"Concert Pick"

"Melanie Moser, late of Tomorrow's Friend, reveals her many singing, songwriting and playing talents in a laid-back fashion, seated with effects spread before her" - TimeOut NY

"Campfire Sounds Acra,NY"

"Melanie Moser kicked things off on the generator-powered main stage with some lightly strummed folk in the Sandy Denny mould, decorated with effects pedal loops ..." - The Wire UK

Bio

Melanie Moser and The Eleventh Hour Band is super music. The band has ebbs and flows like a beautiful mountain stream, swimming into the full and lush sounds of tomorrow today. Truly a group of A-list jammers -- who play album, as in vinyl album, quality music at every show. Moser's songs tell stories of the peoples and worlds above, around, and beyond her. An intriguing blend of folk, psych/rock, with a delicate dose indian and middle-eastern influence. They've been likened to everything from Nico & the Velvet Undergroud to Mazzy Star to the band THE BAND. The sure thing is that they enjoy the music. Sets are filled with rich tunes and spontaneous jams that you can really get into.
Melanie herself has played with some of the best and brightest including: Cass McCombs, Oakley Hall, Tomorrow's Friend, Awesome Color, and Arbouretum. Her first solo collection of recorded songs, "One Tune More", was self-released in 2005 and spent months on the NYC independent radio charts. Followed by two singles and an EP and soon, a full length on Moser's own Yuwipi Records.
