"Artists In Music Awards Emerges As New Contender In Independent Music Shows"

"Taylor gave a highly energized concluding performance at the show, which had the crowd thrilled, as well as Executive Producer Mikey Jayy. “I do enjoy a good, happy ending. Melanie Taylor put on a fantastic performance. That was a demonstration of why she's nominated for Best Pop Artist and Best Dance Artist”, said Jayy. Indeed, industry insiders believe that she could be a strong favorite for the award, but only at the final AIMA red carpet in February will fans know for sure."

All About Today - 2012

Melanie Taylor combines a funky style and soulful vocals to create a dynamic stage presence that makes this pop-singer stand out from the crowd. After releasing two singles, "Cease Fire" and "Walk of Shame," Melanie released her debut album All About Today in January of 2013. True to her Southern California roots, the album is a unique blend of heartfelt ballads and feel-good dance pop with a hint of reggae influence. The San Diego native got her first taste of Hollywood stardom when she signed with Sly Doggie Productions, a California based record label headed by Grammy-nominated producer Christian “Davis” Stalnecker. Melanie’s sound captures a mix between Rihanna, Pink, and Demi Lovato, and her live performances are what set her apart. With a background in musical theater, show choir, and an obsession with Michael Jackson, her shows are mix of theatricality, raw talent, and inspiration. Most recently, Taylor was awarded the 2013 AI Music Award for Best New Dance Artist in Los Angeles. Her single, "Cease Fire" hit #41 in the Ntl. Independent Digital Radio Charts, and #142 on National Digital Radio Placement overall! Her music videos will also be played on rotation via Roku, through one of Apple’s newest featured apps, Opportunety. Melanie performs most often around some of the hottest clubs in LA and is about to perform for the "Come Together Tour" in Houston on Oct. 1st - an event put on by the J.J Watt Foundation to inspire teens to use their social media in a responsible and positive way.
