Bio
Melina is a soulful, sultry, and sophisticated singer and pianist. Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, this highly versatile singer-songwriter is an accomplished classically trained pianist, often adding a touch of jazz to her music, and delivers a captivating performance. Holding a B.Mus in classical piano from McGill University as well as an ARCT performer's diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music of Toronto, her original music is an enticing fusion of styles, a sultry blend of acoustic urban and indie pop, R&B, jazz, soul and folk, that transcends generations and genres.
Melina has performed in venues like the House of Jazz, Upstairs Jazz, Casino Mont-Tremblant, Oscar Peterson Hall, the Just For Laughs Cabaret, the Theâtre Ste-Catherine, the Monument National, the Queen Elizabeth Hotel and the AMC Pepsi Forum, as well as on outdoor stages and in numerous restaurants, lounges and cafes across the city, such as Jello Bar and Sofa Bar. She has also been featured at events such as weddings, galas and high profile corporate banquets.
Whether alone with her piano or featuring other guest musicians, this artist is a rare gem to the Montreal music scene.
