The clock read 3:57am and for some reason I couldn’t sleep. Something was haunting me- the name "Melissa Burnos" kept cycling in my mind. Who is this nameless face? Moments later I sought to answer that very question. Joan Jett- Eat yer heart out!
Melissa Burnos is an emerging singer songwriter out of the greater South Florida area. After graduating with her Bachelors in English, Melissa spent time as a Miami Dolphins cheerleader and currently is writing Rock and Roll love songs. In this day and age it is rare to have an educated emerging pop star. Melissa, through wit, intelligence, and a strong attitude breaks the mold with her musical vigor. Melissa Burnos is a prioritized, goal setter who is on her way to success and stardom.

Born on Independence Day, it is no mystery why Melissa Burnos has lived one thought, as an artist and as a person: “To thine own self be true.”
Melissa’s calling was apparent at a very young age. Beginning her classical dance training at 4 years old, Melissa’s talents stood out. She first rose to national prominence by claiming a coveted position as a Miami Dolphins Cheerleader and appeared before audiences at hundreds of charitable and national events with the NFL. As she continued with her dance training, she also began to cultivate her vocal talent.
After she earned her English Literature degree, Melissa began teaching and focused on refining her vocal gifts. Her fierce passion for writing poetry soon exposed her natural abilities as a songwriter. Encouraged by her dear friend and Bee Gee, Maurice Gibb, her singing and songwriting skills flourished.
Melissa Burnos takes on each day with passion and purpose, always remaining true to herself and her creative vision.
Through her training and experience, Melissa has formed a musical style that can be called her own. Her voice ranges from smooth and sultry to brash and powerful and her songs beckon to be heard. Entranced by Melissa’s seductive beauty, captivating stage presence and a unique vocal style, audiences and critics alike can’t help but take notice of the immense talent that is… Melissa Burnos.
