Biography

Melissa was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta and ever since she was young she loved performing. At the age of three she found a passion for competitive gymnastics and dancing and not long after she began modeling and acting classes. Once in high school Melissa decided that a career in television was the next venture to conquer so she attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology gaining her Radio and Television Arts diploma.

Not long after graduation Melissa worked behind-the-scenes in production at Citytv Toronto as a floor director and production assistant for various productions including the Great Debate 2005 for Court TV Canada. As well as acting as production assistant for big Canadian award shows such as The Much Music Video Awards, The Junos and Canadian Idol auditions.

Melissa also got her foot in the door working as a news reporter and entertainment host for Rogers Television in Richmond Hill, Ont with highlights including covering the local beat of the devastating Hurricane Katrina storm in 2005.
More recently Melissa acts as host and producer for TDotv North America's first online web channel covering the fast paced entertainment scene of Toronto.

And you can catch Melissa daily hosting and segment producing for Helptv CHUM Television's national interactive program seen on Access TV, CLT and Citytv.

When Melissa's not working in television she's perfecting her skills as an actor. Starring in her first independent film titled End of Life; a heartfelt medical drama soon to be released across Canada.
Melissa is also the host and spokesperson for Artists Emerge - Canada's national hip-hop competition.

With her hard work ethic and fun personality Melissa is sure to go places and continue working on successful TV and film projects.
