Bio
The Melissa Main Band plays eclectic folk Cabaret. We play in venues mostly around Melbourne, but get out and about when the mood, the weather and the finances let us! We love funny and touching stories: we love music makers and storytellers who create people's music with their heart (good beats, simple melodies, beautiful words and intriguing conclusions) and perform magic on stage with good humour and grace we're talking peeps like Louis Jordan, Kristina Olsen, Arramaeda, Paul Kelly, Crowded House, Paul Simon and Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Mal Webb, Ani Difranco, Frente, Fiest, Camille, Tom Waits, Ella Fitzgerald, Loretta Lynne, Johnny Guitar Watson, Leon Redbone, Prince, Cake, Regurgitator, Dolly Parton, The Cure, Steve Miller, Django Reinhardt, People who don't take themselves too seriously and have a lot of fun!
