Influenced by a wide range of musical genres, including Jazz, Folk and Acoustic Pop, Melissa engages her audiences with memorable melodies and expressive lyrics all her own. Her music is genuine-it not only reflects Melissa's nature, but every lyric she writes reveals her most sincere and suppressed emotions. As a lyricist, composing is Melissa's truest form of expression, and she writes with the intent that anyone who hears it will be able to relate to it in some way. To perform and share her music with others gives her a sense of fulfillment like none other. With a powerful voice, she accompanies herself with moving music that brings a unique balance to each of her songs.
At 23, with a B.A. in Music from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA, Melissa is going after her desire to perform-it's what she's longed to do ever since she was a little girl. Based in and around New York City, she has currently been writing and performing shows in the tri-state area. She has developed a very supportive following, and it is growing quickly each time she performs.
