Bio
Melissa Phillippe is a vibrant and inspiring singer-songwriter and speaker. The San Francisco Bay Area native has ten albums of original material in release, and is also the featured vocalist on Stephen Halpern’s releases, ‘Deja Blues’ and ‘The Om Zone’. Melissa performs her music and delivers inspirational talks throughout the world.
Melissa’s powerful, professionally-produced recordings are varied. Two albums each include twelve uplifting Adult Contemporary soulful rock originals, characterized by one admirer as “Bonnie Raitt meets God”. Two others are collections of original chants (short affirmative statements, in English, set to music) presented in both vocal and instrumental versions.
She also has a Limited Edition C.D. which includes two duets sung with don Miguel Ruiz, author of The Four Agreements. Her latest releases are from two new series, one of which is Musical Education includes ‘Ear Training, Volume 1’ and ‘Powerful Stage Presence’, both designed specifically for singers. The second new series, Simple Steps to a Better You, includes chants and a guided meditation, each CD designed to support the listener in transforming a particular area of their life.
The common thread through all of her music and presentations is a message of hope and healing. Her memorable and inspiring lyrics and spoken words, attached to beautiful music, reverberate in the minds and hearts of her listeners.
Melissa’s voice is rich and soulful. Whether singing or speaking, she is honest, playful and down-to-earth, yet highly professional. The talented presentation of her powerful material invites her listeners to access deep levels within themselves. Melissa’s approach to her work makes her a sought-after speaker and performing artist.
Born into a musical family, Melissa began piano studies at 8 years old. By the age of 10, she was writing, singing and performing and has never stopped. Following in the footsteps of her great uncle, jazz musician Clancy Hayes, music has always been her passion.
Melissa’s personal history of trauma and drug addiction inspired the spiritual journey which is the source of her teachings, and which has led to her new life of freedom, love and joy. It is her intention to bring an awareness of the divine within each of us to all her listeners. Thousands of fans throughout the world say that she is succeeding beyond her wildest dreams!
