"Aspiring singer ready for showdown"

Melissa Ramski 14 the youngest to be selected will be among those vying for the title.
Colgate Country Showdown....
Each contestant had to send in a " demo" tape to be selected for the competition. They are given eight minutes to sing two country songs of their choice and the winner moves on to state competition in September at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson. Melissa Ramski chosen contestant to be in the show, she has been singing since she was 5 years old, and this is her second time being selected to compete at The Colgate Country Showdown. Competing in multiple singing competitions throughout the area during the summer, Ramski said, singing is her passion. "I really want to pursue that dream, and Colgate Country Showdown helps me to do that, " Ramski said.

Ramski, who will be singing Shania Twain's "That Don't Impress Me Much" and Sara Evans' "No Place That Far." sees being so young as a benefit because by the time she gets to Shelley's age, She'll be the best she can be, Ramski said.

"Ramski sisters to perform for Lions Club"

Melissa and Melinda Ramski, talented sister performers of Country and Broadway songs, will perform for the annual Lions Club District Convention in Garden City, Saturday evening March 11, 2006 at the Plaza Hotel Ballroom.
The sisters have established a reputation for quality musical performances throughout the Kansas and Oklahoma region.Both girls have recorded professionally and are seen as rising stars in the music business.They are waving their usual performance fee in recognition of the many community service projects accomplished by the Lions of Southwest Kansas.

"Melissa and Melinda were able to give a special performance"

Melinda and Melissa were able to give a special performance February 6th, 2006 for the Lions members "Valentine's Day Sweetheart Ball" @ Moffet Catering in Ulysses, Kansas.
Great Reviews-- The statements after their performances were they really enjoy the girls singing, they were excellent, many stated the girls were awesome, great, very good and one member explained that she wish they had not stopped singing, she wanted to hear more. One of Melissa's teacher's heard the news and told her how good she had done . That was so touching to Melissa that her teacher had said this to her. What a wonderful feeling Melissa said.

August 10th, 2005 Melissa released her first demo CD with ten cover songs: "Go Away, No one else on earth, Strawberry wine, That don't Impress me much, Crazy, The light in your eyes, I wana do it all, That far, I hope you dance, I think about Elvis." Melissa stated, "of about 200 songs she knows and sings.

Melissa has been singing and entertaining since the age of five. At her first public performance her talent and passion for singing was evident and it became very visible to all that her love for music is her life's passion and it's her dream to become a professional country singer in Nashville. Melissa's experience includes talent shows, concerts, fairs, festivals, civic organizations, clubs, pageants and much more. On March 11, 2007 Melissa was casted , as a supporting actress in a upcoming movie "Lost Treasure Trails" by Night Walker Films- Director Randal L. Greenwood. Melissa has performed for many event, also competing in such contest as Colgate Country showdown placing in the top five , Rubbermail Idol at Country Winfield Roundup placing in the top Fifteen out of 100, Melissa placed third at the Oxford Idol performance.
Melissa is open to performances like singing the National Anthem, being a Master of Ceremonies at concerts or just singing and entertaining the crowd. This talented 17 year-old has had a busy career so far! Her country sound and style has gained her many fans. As Melissa explained, "God has given me this wonderful gift and I want to share it. She can not imagine not singing. She has been singing at a very young age and her dream is to someday soon sing with successful artist. Artits that influence Melissa are stars such as Loretta Lynn, Crystal Gale, Lynn Anderson, Martina McBride, Lorrie Morgan, Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes, Trisha Yearwood and many more.

Outside of her singing, Melissa attends High School and is very active in many activities; choir, cheerleading, school clubs. she also, enters pageants; Melissa say's, this is a great way to meet new friends, learn to do interviews, and it teaches young ladies in todays world how to be poised as well as the importance of education. Melissa recently was crowned 10/27/07 "Miss Teen Augusta" of the Miss Kansas/Miss America Prelim Pageant.

Melissa has been working on recording and original CD with hope's that it will be out in summer or fall of 2007, and is still working on the CD at this time.
