On her independent grind, Melodii Rozett releases her debut EP, In My Feelings, inviting the world into the life of the her extensive background.
Hailing from South Florida, the 8-track EP is exclusively produced by Tokeyo Bang and is very reminiscent of the type of pop R&B, ambient flava and strong bass lines associated with that popular 90s R&B sound.
Asked about her favourite song on the EP, Melodii said:
“I would have to say “First Love” hands down. Everything in that song is true. I wrote that song from my heart. I literally cried writing that song. Every time I listen to it, I get chills because it brings back memories. I just wanted to share my story with the world and hope they can relate to it.”

PRLog - Mar. 9, 2014 - FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Melodii Rozett will be releasing her debut EP titled “In My Feelings” on March 21st 2014. The EP features the heavily infectious single “Beat Your Girlfriend Up” which debuted earlier on VEVO, as well as new singles such “First Love” , “In My Feelings” , "Wanna Be" and the rock infused single “Insecure”
Looking to appease the appetites of her fans, the South Florida native decided to release the project for free via download. The EP will also be available for streaming via Beats Music, Google Play, Itunes, Spotify, and other popular streaming services.
The EP features exclusive production from producer Tokeyo Bang who set out to create a project reminiscent of 90’s R&B fused with ambient sounds, and his signature drum and bass collection.
Melodii Rozett also enlisted the help of veteran producer, KMorGold @KmorGold who produced her hit club record "Wanna Be". "KMorGold has an amazing sound, and has done great work with tons of established artist including one of my faves, Amerie. We felt his sound woud definitly shake this project up a bit".
Melodii Rozett feels strongly about the success of this project. The singer invites the world into her personal life. PRLog - May 9, 2014 - MIAMI -- Melodii Rozett returns back to the R&B scene with her latest release titled “In My Feelings”. The 8 song EP has had great reception among fans and is currently charting in Sweden and Japan.
“The love has been amazing, so much so that I felt it would be best to release the remainder of the project completely for free to my fans.”
The EP features exclusive production from her former labels, executive producer Tokeyo Bang and features production from KMorGold known more for his work with R&B singer Amerie.
We were first introduced to Melodii Rozett in 2012 when she released her debut single “Contract”. The release cemented Melodii Rozett’s stance in the industry as a serious competitor, garnering the interest of multiple labels and entertainment professionals. Recently, we had the opportunity to catch up with Melodii.
So lets get straight to the important stuff.

So Everyone wants to know…. Are You Currently seeing anyone?
Yes but I'd rather keep my relationship private, and mostly focus on my music. My career is top priority.
So you’ve just released your EP, what is your favorite song?
Everyone has their own, my personal favorite would have to be "First Love" Thats all me right there. For me that song breathes Melodii Rozett. To each is own though. So whats new?
Ohh man. We’ve been prepping the routine for these upcoming performances. I really want to give you guys a great show. Other than that, the video for “In My Feelings” is ready to go. It will be airing on VEVO and MTV any day now. I’m looking to shoot some more visuals and work with new artist as well.
Wow You’ve definitely been busy. Of course its every artist’s dream to be sought out and courted by record labels. How does that feel?
After the first date; things aren’t always what they seem.
So your’e a free agent now?
Yes. Free like a bird.
So what happened with "Bassbox Music Group"? And why did you leave?
It was just a big misunderstanding. We had our differences, so we decided to go our separate ways. I had a great time with them. I’ll always have love for them, and I wish them nothing but the best in life. As a woman I have to make my own decisions for my future, And leaving was just best for me. Even though I left, I still have great support system in between my family and my manager David P. Suade who recently just acquired BassBox so its still all in the family.
So when can we expect to hear more music from you? We need moooore.. Melodii Rozett.
ASAP. My second project is about 80 percent complete. I’m looking to collab with more producers and talented artist, but it’s coming. I won’t keep you guys waiting too long.

She wrote her first song at ten years old and has had a passion for singing ever since. At 18 years old, that passion led her through doors that she never imagined would have opened.
