It’s been a hell of a journey since Melody Feder burst on to the Australian Music Scene in 2009. With a string of performance and song writing awards, Melody rapidly won respect from many early adopters in the country music scene.
While this girl next door with cuttingedge flair grew up on a diet of Linda Rondstat, Dolly Parton and Kasey Chambers,her palate has broadened with maturity through a love of artists that include Patty Griffin, Brandi Carlile,Alison Krauss and Eliza Gilkyson.
The release of her second EP, produced by Golden Guitar nominated producer, Michael Muchow, saw Melody find her stride and her musical "sweet spot". Firmly making her mark on the Industry and putting her stamp on Americana music in her home country of Australia.
The release of this record saw her career take of including touring as support for You Am I frontman Tim Rogers, and playing alongside Hillbilly Daddy, Bill Chambers. She gained fans both here in Australia and in The US where she has played in Nashville and Austin and appeared at The Americana Festival and was a Toyota Starmaker finalist in 2013.
Her debut album is due to be released in 2014 under the guidance of co-producers Michael Muchow & Catherine Britt.
