A self-contained Artist/ Produce Melrog understands the technical aspects of music production. He plays piano and other various instruments. He produces rock, pop, reggae, smooth jazz and sings soulful R&B; with a deep romantic twist. He refers to his music as Love Counseling.
His love for music was inspired by artist Stevie Wonder, as he grasped the concept of playing the piano from one song he started composing his own music with lyrics by the age of eight. His strong passion for music is also inspired by legends such as; Donnie Hathaway, James Brown, Isley Brothers, Roberta Flack and more.
Melrog is considered one of the predominant pop and r&b; producers and songwriters around, his success can be accredited to several factors. For one, his immense talent. Two his unique sound effectively blurring the lines between Pop and R&B.; The end result is a new genre of music that is accessible to the public.
Throughout the late 90's and into present day, Melrog continues to established himself as one of the most prolific, talented, and highly sought after producers in the music industry. However, his songs are present through more media outlets than radio. He is also an established go-to artist for film song production. His music has found its way into many varied films.
