Bio
A punk-loving zombie fan met a punk-loving 50s fan and (mis)spent Saturday afternoons in a Brighton bedroom playing Husker Du and Clash songs. Ten years or so later (taking their time) they met a hair metal-loving thrash fan and a drummer who is big in Korea (no, really. South Korea). When a classic rock fan arrived - on two wheels - the five-a-side team was finally complete. Mel's Allstars don't contain a Mel and are not, strictly speaking, stars. But they enjoy making a damn fine dance-your-arse off racket and drinking cider (preferably at the same time). 2009 was a busy year playing pubs and festivals in and around Sussex and Surrey, and the band look forward to a hectic 2010.
Mels AllStars’ have two singers with very different styles, and their line up of two acoustic and one electric guitar up front, with bass and drums gives them a lot of flexibility across the genres. Audiences who love good-time down-to-earth rock and roll will love Mels AllStars.
